After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jonatan Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alcaraz's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Katia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonatan Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, one of Alcaraz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alcaraz. Pallavicini's Ramiro Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Alcaraz getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rosendo Froylan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Arce in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Endira saved Alcaraz from getting behind. If Jonatan Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Katia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Guaberto Javiero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Javiero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Katia in the 38th minute. With a little luck, Pallavicini's Guaberto Javiero got control of the ball when Jonatan Katia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute, Eloy Brais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romulo Edorta made a kick off. 1-2 became the score in the 52nd minute when Ramiro Arce elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Jonatan Katia came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Alcaraz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Katia couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Jonatan Katia notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Pallavicini's Guaberto Javiero. Guaberto Javiero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 70 played minutes Alcaraz got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Froylan. In the 72nd minute Jonatan Katia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Froylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Javiero having to interfere. Guaberto Javiero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 94th minute, Rosendo Froylan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
