Jonathan Cai was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atletico San Jorge! Club Atletico San Jorge:s Leonides Ubarna showed great skill when he stopped Leonardo Palban:s penalty. Leonides Ubarna came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Mercedes AFC's Orlando Merexildo. But to his dismay, Orlando Merexildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Club Atletico San Jorge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Ronny Faller scored to the left of an out of position Leonides Ubarna, making the score, 2-0. Anastasio Raymond kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartolo Ekhi during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Atletico San Jorge getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Bartolo Ekhi hit a great ball. Christian Kaiet hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Esteve Bastia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Ubarna having to interfere. With his leg Leonides Ubarna managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Mercedes AFC's Orlando Merexildo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 25 minutes into the game, Club Atletico San Jorge's Lorenzo Isidor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Lidon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Orlando Merexildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Ubarna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Merexildo ran back to his position shaking his head. Orlando Merexildos short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Leonides Ubarna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anibal Lidon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Ekhi, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sixto Abancens hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Orlando Merexildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Ubarna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Merexildo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Orlando Merexildo came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Mercedes AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Merexildo couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Ekhi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adan Millrick hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Leonardo Palban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Ubarna was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Leonides Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Merexildo in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Merexildo in the 65th minute of play forced Club Atletico San Jorge's goalkeeper Leonides Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Orlando Merexildo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercedes AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. If Ambrosio Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mercedes AFC's Sixto Abancens quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elpidio Viator, made in the 76th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico San Jorge's Pastor Bernad got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Palban in the 79th minute of play forced Club Atletico San Jorge's goalkeeper Leonides Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Merexildo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Ubarna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Orlando Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Ubarna having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Sixto Abancens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Ubarna came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Mercedes AFC's Orlando Merexildo. But to his dismay, Orlando Merexildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Mercedes AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
