The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Uriel Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reynaldo Silban struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Miguel Oliverio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gómez FC. Miguel Oliverio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Silban in the 9th minute. Saturnino Leheren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Epifanio Salamon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Oliverio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Leheren in the 35th minute of the match. Uriel Bastia hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Epifanio Salamon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cecilio Tipi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Baldomiro Errolan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cecilio Tipi having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Gómez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Errolan came free, but Cecilio Tipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baldomiro Errolan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Reynaldo Silban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Oliverio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. CANDIOTI FC's Miguel Oliverio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Silban in the 57th minute of play. Miguel Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Leheren in the 62nd minute of play. When Saturnino Leheren came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gómez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Leheren couldn't finish the play. If Saturnino Leheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Miguel Oliverio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Leheren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Silban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to CANDIOTI FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Baldomiro Errolan hit a great ball. Gómez FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
