Angel Quilino came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Macaya y Araujo's Baldomero Beturian. But to his dismay, Baldomero Beturian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Paolo Modestio might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angel Quilino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paolo Modestio ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Iztal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Angel Quilino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Argina in the 18th minute of play. Angel Quilino made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Baldomero Beturian sent off a good shot on target. Paolo Modestio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baldomero Beturian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Angel Quilino made a huge save. Jairo Faro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Angel Quilino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Macaya y Araujo booed when Trilí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Quilino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Beturian in the 28th minute of play. Cirilo Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 史宁雄 having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandro Pires was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Paolo Modestio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angel Quilino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Ederono, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Trilí got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Guzman. In the 58th minute of the match Jaime Ederono sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angel Quilino skillfully saved the ball.
