The coaching staff of boca juniors protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fabian Abeitia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Fabian Abeitia kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The long shot by Zachariasz Zapolski in the 64th minute really tested Esteve Aznaro's skills. In the 92nd minute, Jesus Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The boca juniors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.A. River Plate were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
