Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5317, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 141) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Apolo Evarado took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Reynaldo Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the match, C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO's goal looked a bit too open when Allen Bannister came free, but Gaudencio Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allen Bannister in the 18th minute of play. If Allen Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Pastor Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO's supporters rose to their feet, but Pastor Poncio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Arotza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Silverio Camerino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Allen Bannister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardenales's supporters rose to their feet, but Allen Bannister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Tello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute Anselmo Terciero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cardenales's Allen Bannister in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO's goalie prevented a goal. Allen Bannister took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaudencio Tello. Gaudencio Tello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gaudencio Tello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allen Bannister in the 45th minute of the match. The C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cardenales were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Allen Bannister to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Allen Bannister fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allen Bannister got free with Gaudencio Tello in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Reynaldo Nesor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaudencio Tello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allen Bannister, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Reynaldo Nesor came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Cardenales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Nesor couldn't finish the play. If Allen Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cardenales booed when C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaudencio Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Terciero in the 61st minute of play. Gaudencio Tello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allen Bannister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pastor Poncio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Allen Bannister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO's Apolo Evarado managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edgardo Celio in the 85 minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO's goal looked a bit too open when Allen Bannister came free, but Gaudencio Tello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Gaudencio Tello successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cardenales played a much better game than C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO and deserved their victory. The C.A.ARGENTINO de MERLO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
