Moises Calvet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Servando in the 10th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Zeledon Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soldevila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Quinito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Chap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Volcán's Alejo Guillelme came free and shot a quick shot against goal 20 minutes in the game, fortunately Moises Calvet had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Alejo Guillelme did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Moises Calvet 22 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes Soldevila FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Goyo. In the 33rd minute, Alejo Guillelme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Zeledon Quinito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Chap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The supporters of Soldevila FC booed when Volcán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Belo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Gaudencio Frederico in the 65th minute of play was well struck, but Siro Chap made a really good save at the right post. Godofredo Hermelando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Calvet having to interfere. Volcán made a substitution. Rogelio Milio replaced Agustin Qwinton. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Alejo Guillelme managed to get in a good position for a shot.
