Deportivo Armenio's Marciano Naike got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 17 in the game by Damaso Aragones from a close distance when the talented Moises Calvet managed to make a qualified save. Soldevila FC's players were relieved. When Artemio Lluciano fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soldevila FC's protests and gave Artemio Lluciano a yellow card for diving instead. 21 minutes into the match, Deportivo Armenio's Damaso Aragones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moises Calvet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hermengildo Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Deportivo Armenio booed when Soldevila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Lluciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Soldevila FC's Moises Calvet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Soldevila FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Deportivo Armenio defense, Zeledon Quinito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Gauargi. The Deportivo Armenio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Gauargi should have stopped the shot. Zeledon Quinito took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ariel Gauargi. Ariel Gauargi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Quinito to strike the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Quinito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Deportivo Armenio's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Quinito came free, but Ariel Gauargi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eduardo Cibran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Armenio's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Cibran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moises Calvet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damaso Aragones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moises Calvet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Damaso Aragones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Lazcano kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Moises Calvet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Aragones's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Soldevila FC's zone, Eduardo Cibran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Calvet came out of the goal and Eduardo Cibran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Zeledon Quinito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Gauargi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Damaso Aragones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soldevila FC's Moises Calvet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
