An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Nofre in the 5th minute of play forced Monsalvo AFC's goalkeeper Bernabe Olivar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monsalvo AFC's Bernabe Olivar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Arlo in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Donato Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bernabe Olivar was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Nofre in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernabe Olivar saved Monsalvo AFC from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Jonathan Gergori notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Monsalvo AFC's Bernabe Olivar. Bernabe Olivar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernabe Olivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Nofre in the 43rd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Nofre to strike the kick off in the second half. Monsalvo AFC's Bernabe Olivar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Monsalvo AFC from getting a goal against them. Melquiades Peter hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Monsalvo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Bastia came free, but Bernabe Olivar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Arturo Luix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monsalvo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salto the free kick. In the 80th minute, Silvano Arlo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Salto booed when Monsalvo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Argider didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Olivar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonathan Gergori showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 88 minute of play. Rodolfo Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bernabe Olivar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Olivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Nofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Salto played a much better game than Monsalvo AFC and deserved their victory. The Monsalvo AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
