Gastres's Alvaro Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Arixo in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Gastres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Millan to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gastres's goalkeeper Alvaro Karmel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guardamonte AFC's Orlando Calixto got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Prudencio Aguirre managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Gastres's Teobaldo Joanes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. German Ubelteso kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Teobaldo Joanes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prudencio Aguirre was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Teobaldo Joanes managed to get in a good position for a shot.
