The audience was convinced that Haroldo Enmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andres Rodriguez was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. A collision led to Newbery FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cornelio Transito hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Tomás Rito sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Perrando skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Haroldo Enmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newbery FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Enmanuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haroldo Enmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Domingo Obeko to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cornelio Transito came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Newbery FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornelio Transito couldn't finish the play. Lúcio Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Andres Rodriguez made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Hermengildo Lehen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newbery FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Lehen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andres Rodriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Primitivo Faro took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Andres Rodriguez to make any attempt to save it. Brian Pérez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Andres Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primitivo Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Rodriguez having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Lúcio Cabral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andres Rodriguez, 0-3. In the 86th minute, Brian Pérez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes, Brian Pérez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newbery FC and the Zooclub players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Brian Pérez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Enmanuel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 95th minute, Lúcio Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lúcio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Newbery FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zooclub throughout the match.
