Basilio Orkatz was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Placido Lorenz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Placido Lorenz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Gaizko got free with Basilio Orkatz in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Tauro during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Generoso Tauro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Lisandro Giro came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Naranjes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Giro couldn't finish the play. Club . A . Independiente's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Placido Lorenz 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. In the 38th match minute, Naranjes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Naranjes FC's Generoso Tauro got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Rocio made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Naranjes FC's goalkeeper Hugo Osasun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basilio Orkatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Lorenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Nemesio Gaizko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Orkatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Gaizko in the 58th minute of the match. Naranjes FC's Placido Lorenz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Lorenz might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Orkatz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Placido Lorenz ran back to his position shaking his head. Basilio Orkatz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lisandro Giro's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. When Eugenio Koldobika fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club . A . Independiente's protests and gave Eugenio Koldobika a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club . A . Independiente getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Eugenio Koldobika hit a great ball. Basilio Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Lorenz in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Emanuel Dabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club . A . Independiente and the Naranjes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Club . A . Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Dabi. Lisandro Giro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Fero scored 6-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Orkatz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Eugenio Koldobika was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. The supporters of Naranjes FC booed when Club . A . Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Koldobika didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 played minutes Club . A . Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Eufemio. Naranjes FC's Godfredo Gipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Naranjes FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
