Omar Ekain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Dorio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Pedro Palban's late challenge caught a WanHeda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. El Oeste Rock & Club's Victoriano Dorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Orain in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Edgard Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. WanHeda's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Dorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, El Oeste Rock & Club's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Ekain came free, but Victoriano Dorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. WanHeda had played much better football throughout.
