The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Freddy Vedillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jose Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Vedillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Omar Ekain managed to get in a good position for a shot. WanHeda's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Ekain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Burni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. WanHeda's Justo Venerando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Tallia in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to WanHeda getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Eloy Abadie hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Tallia during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Uzcudun AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Tallia to maneuver through the defense. Jose Burni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Curcio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Senin hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Silban was the one to do the kick off. Saverio Daunte's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Justo Venerando firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddy Vedillo in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Burni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgard Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 58 played minutes Uzcudun AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Sansone. 59 minutes into the match, Uzcudun AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Ekain came free, but Jose Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Orain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jose Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Venerando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saverio Daunte in the 63rd minute. Jose Burni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Vedillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Omar Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Ekain in the 73rd minute of play forced Uzcudun AFC's goalkeeper Jose Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Uzcudun AFC's zone, Freddy Vedillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Burni came out of the goal and Freddy Vedillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th match minute, Uzcudun AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Senin to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Vedillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jose Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uzcudun AFC's Jose Burni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Ekain in the 91st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Daunte got free with Justo Venerando in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, WanHeda's goalkeeper Justo Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saverio Daunte. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uzcudun AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for WanHeda.
