Generoso Gaspard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Indartsu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Israel Osoro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Indartsu was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 28th match minute, Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Peruxu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Victoria's zone, Generoso Gaspard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Indartsu came out of the goal and Generoso Gaspard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Israel Osoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Osoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustacio Cordarell to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Generoso Gaspard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nestor Indartsu. Generoso Gaspard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Blas Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67 minutes Victoria's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reynaldo Aznar who took care of the corner kick. Generoso Gaspard was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
