Elias Liher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anibal Gabino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Liher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Claudio Gonsalvo's late challenge caught a Club Saenz Peña's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Gonsalvo helped the player get up and apologised. Claudio Gonsalvo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Massi FC.'s Ildefonso Baudelio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Saenz Peña's Sergio Ramone got a free kick in the 11th minute. Massi FC.'s Arnoldo Ibar got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute Anibal Gabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Ibar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elias Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Zeledon Raphael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Markel in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Ildefonso Baudelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Massi FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Baudelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Claudio Gonsalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Ildefonso Markel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Ibar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Enekoitz having to interfere. Ildefonso Baudelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Placido Enekoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Enekoitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Baudelio's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Ibar in the 42nd minute of play forced Club Saenz Peña's goalkeeper Placido Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Ibar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Placido Enekoitz. Arnoldo Ibar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Ildefonso Baudelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoldo Ibar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnoldo Ibar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Saenz Peña's Placido Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Baudelio in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Teodoro Berdoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Gualterio Laurentzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Gonsalvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Enekoitz having to interfere. Placido Enekoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Baudelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Arnoldo Ibar kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Anibal Gabino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elias Liher came out and tried to block the shot, but Anibal Gabino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Ildefonso Markel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Club Saenz Peña's Anibal Gabino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Ildefonso Baudelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Baudelio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Placido Enekoitz was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 92nd minute of the match, Emiliano Mannuel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elias Liher saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Massi FC.'s Ildefonso Baudelio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Baudelio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Placido Enekoitz was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Although Massi FC. had been in control for most of the match, Club Saenz Peña still came away with the win.
