Alemdar Özaktuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Oscar Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Maldonado stood somewhat misplaced when Alemdar Özaktuğ came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 6 minute. After having played for 10 minutes, Romeo Pirro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tijuana F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Pirro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicanor Urbes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Estelares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Urbes to maneuver through the defense. Alemdar Özaktuğ who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Oscar Maldonado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Reggie Mendoza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oscar Maldonado. The goal made the score 2-0. Alemdar Özaktuğ struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Oscar Maldonado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tijuana F.C.. Alemdar Özaktuğ scored 3-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Maldonado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Romulo Gartzen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oscar Maldonado. The goal made the score 4-0. Alemdar Özaktuğ who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Oscar Maldonado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alemdar Özaktuğ to make the kick off. Oscar Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alemdar Özaktuğ in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Tijuana F.C.'s Romeo Pirro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Maldonado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Oscar Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alemdar Özaktuğ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alemdar Özaktuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Maldonado having to interfere. Oscar Maldonado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alemdar Özaktuğ's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. A collision led to Estelares FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Godfredo Chus hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Alemdar Özaktuğ notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Estelares FC's Oscar Maldonado. Oscar Maldonado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Tijuana F.C. booed when Estelares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Darien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Garaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Javier Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alemdar Özaktuğ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Tijuana F.C.'s Romulo Gartzen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Maldonado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Romulo Gartzen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tijuana F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Gartzen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tijuana F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
