Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Angel Honrio kicked off to start the match. Olavarría's Osvaldo Gilen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Sancho in the 4th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Celso Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Gilen was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Olavarría's Angel Honrio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Unax. Angelo Unax yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Charrúa's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Matei came free, but Angelo Unax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Reynaldo Lando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Gilen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Senio kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Aldo Gerazan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Gilen. Olavarría's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Gerazan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Angelo Unax showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Matei, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Celso Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Osvaldo Gilen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Olavarría getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Fabio Matei hit a great ball. If Reynaldo Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Aldo Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Charrúa's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Gerazan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Gilen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celso Sancho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Osvaldo Gilen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Charrúa. In the 45th minute, Aldo Gerazan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Sancho in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Gilen saved Olavarría from getting behind. After the first half Deportivo Charrúa were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Celso Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Celso Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 62 played minutes Olavarría got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Ceandro. Osvaldo Gilen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Gerazan in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes Olavarría got a freekick which was hit by Raul Izel. Angelo Unax didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santos Urtats went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Osvaldo Gilen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Lando went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Isauro during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Olavarría booed when Deportivo Charrúa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Isauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Celso Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo Charrúa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
