Jorge Fraco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Rafael Igon made a huge save. Benito Mannie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Misael in the 21st minute of the match. When Jorge Fraco fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored river's protests and gave Jorge Fraco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, river's Silvano Telo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Silvano Telo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of river protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Silvano Telo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 24th minute, one of river:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for river. Jorge Fraco was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Fabian Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Misael to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Marcial Dabi made a precise shot to the right of Rafael Igon. Dtvo. Bogado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. When Fabian Efraim came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the river fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Efraim couldn't finish the play. Bogado's zone, Jorge Fraco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Igon came out of the goal and Jorge Fraco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Efraim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Igon having to make a save. If Jorge Fraco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute.
