Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Boca Juniors's Danilo Rivero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 19th minute Danilo Rivero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Umea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Balesio. CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO's Romulo Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Rivero in the 25th minute of play. Romulo Umea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Tadeo Aimar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romulo Umea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO defense, Danilo Rivero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romulo Umea. The CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romulo Umea should have stopped the shot. Romulo Umea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Segio in the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Lucio Segio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Segio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Boca Juniors were winning 0-1.

In the 51st minute, Manuel Valerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Riveros short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Romulo Umea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tadeo Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Anacleto Oliverios came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO's Fausto Mannuel. But to his dismay, Fausto Mannuel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iker Silban during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iker Silban hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Aimar. In the 96th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Aimar to maneuver through the defense. Boca Juniors were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CLUB ATLETICO ITUZAINGO to leave the ground with a draw.
