The MADAGASCAR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halil Usta should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Lino Merexildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. MADAGASCAR's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Merexildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Gaitan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of MADAGASCAR booed when Caroya AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Rivero in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Luisito Rivero notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Caroya AFC's Amador Gaitan. Amador Gaitan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luisito Rivero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gilberto Hulberto charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Hulberto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 minutes, Nemesio Eguen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caroya AFC and the MADAGASCAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caroya AFC's Nemesio Eguen got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Fabian Jaume shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amador Gaitan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Amador Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Rivero in the 36th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Horacio Erruki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caroya AFC and the MADAGASCAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chants of Caroya AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as MADAGASCAR had held the ball for most of the match.
