When Vidal Freije came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Bermejo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidal Freije couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Vidal Freije managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bermejo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidal Freije was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Elodio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florencio Arce hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vidal Freije sped through DESAMPARADOS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anselmo Elodio. Jim Shearer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Vidal Freije had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmo Elodio. DESAMPARADOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vidal Freije was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Florencio Arce hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Santo Pepillo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DESAMPARADOS's protests and gave Santo Pepillo a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 minutes, Vidal Freije made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. DESAMPARADOS's Anselmo Elodio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Bermejo AFC's goalkeeper Jim Shearer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Gelacio. Jim Shearer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Luken in the 33rd minute. If Wilfried Waterman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anselmo Elodio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siro Berart went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Felipe Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Bermejo AFC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vidal Freije made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Berart got free with Anselmo Elodio in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Bermejo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Caetano came free, but Jim Shearer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, DESAMPARADOS's goal looked a bit too open when Astor George came free, but Anselmo Elodio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Elodio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor George in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Vidal Freije managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bermejo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vidal Freije was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in DESAMPARADOS's zone, Vidal Freije stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Elodio came out of the goal and Vidal Freije tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th play minute Vidal Freije came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anselmo Elodio. 0-6. The audience was convinced that Vidal Freije's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Elodio was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Vidal Freije could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Anselmo Elodio made a huge save. After 77 minutes of play, DESAMPARADOS's Santo Pepillo made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Shearer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Siro Berart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Anselmo Elodio made a huge save. Anselmo Elodio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vidal Freije in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the Bermejo AFC defense, Victoriano Caetano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim Shearer. The Bermejo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim Shearer should have stopped the shot. After 95 played minutes DESAMPARADOS got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Luken. Anselmo Elodio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vidal Freije in the 97th minute.
