After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Saul Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores de Fasano's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Omero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cirilo Piearres might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teofilo Omero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Piearres ran back to his position shaking his head. Osvaldo Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Birila having to interfere. Santiago Birila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee ignored Defensores de Fasano's protests and gave Cirilo Piearres a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Defensores de Fasano got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Piearres. Prospero Modestio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. AAAJ's Teofilo Omero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save AAAJ from getting a goal against them. When Saul Abancens came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Defensores de Fasano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Abancens couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Hugo Frederik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores de Fasano's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Frederik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Omero was left in no man's land by his defense there!
