Monteagudo FC's Jaime Pasqual played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lazaro Infante in the 10th minute of play. When Iker Guillelmo came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Monteagudo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Guillelmo couldn't finish the play. Rufianes's Benedicto Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Ondino in the 13th minute of play. The Rufianes fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Rufianes's Javier Cresitobalo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vicente Loren hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Jose Donzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Benedicto Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Matias Ondino made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Txilar. Rufianes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 2-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Jose Donzel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rufianes's Javier Cresitobalo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 46 minutes, Prudencio Gau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monteagudo FC and the Rufianes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, one of Monteagudo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monteagudo FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Iker Guillelmo made the kick off in the second half. Jaime Pasqual came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rufianes's Lazaro Infante. But to his dismay, Lazaro Infante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Benedicto Txilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Donzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Benedicto Txilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Donzel in the 67th minute of the match. Jaime Pasqual made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Cresitobalo in the 68th minute of play. Benedicto Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Ondino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Txilar came out and tried to block the shot, but Jose Donzel slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 85th minute. Arsenio Aztore was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. Rufianes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
