In the 10th minute, Anibal Kaiet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel Fagildo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With his leg Clodoveo Eutor managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when MALVINAS ARGENTINAS's Agostinho Maranhense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anibal Kaiet made a kick off. Conrado Senen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clodoveo Eutor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Agostinho Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. MALVINAS ARGENTINAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Agostinho Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Eutor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pastor Aurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over MALVINAS ARGENTINAS's much stronger midfield.
