In the 15th minute Șerban Anisie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Urtzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guaycurú FC's zone, Isidoro Ubendu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Urtzi came out of the goal and Isidoro Ubendu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Pitin took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ignacio Urtzi. Ignacio Urtzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a little luck, Guaycurú FC's Ignacio Urtzi got control of the ball when Sixto Lorenz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Isidoro Ubendu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the San Marino F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Ubendu couldn't finish the play. Eustaquio Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Corderro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Urtzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Ubendu's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Sixto Lorenz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Marino F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Isidoro Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Isidoro Ubendu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Corderro during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guaycurú FC's Abelardo Corderro got a free kick in the 48th minute. San Marino F.C.'s Sixto Lorenz got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tobias Innocenzio made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Isidoro Ubendu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ignacio Urtzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the game, Uriel Medina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaycurú FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Marino F.C. the free kick. 57 minutes into the game, one of Guaycurú FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 60th minute, Clemente Phelipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio Urtzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Ubendu in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guaycurú FC's zone, Gerardo Rosio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ignacio Urtzi came out of the goal and Gerardo Rosio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Marino F.C.'s Isidoro Ubendu got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Cortez having to interfere. The supporters of Guaycurú FC booed when San Marino F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Rosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Phelipe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Eustaquio Cortez made a huge save. Ignacio Urtzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Șerban Anisie, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Tomas Pitin sped through Guaycurú FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ignacio Urtzi. Bartolo Ruy took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustaquio Cortez. Eustaquio Cortez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1.
