After a rather tough play, C.A.I.U.C's Mario Harriet got a free kick in the 2nd minute. C.A.I.U.C's Teofilo Cambranes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Chuse in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jose Chuse in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teofilo Cambranes saved C.A.I.U.C from getting behind. Luciano Giraldo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Teofilo Cambranes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Ubendu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. C.A.I.U.C's Teofilo Cambranes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Chuse in the 11th minute of play. Honorio Eli hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Teofilo Cambranes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Chuse in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Berdoi got free with Stavros Vakros in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Chuse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teofilo Cambranes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Jose Chuse struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Teofilo Cambranes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuervos & Santos. In the 31st minute, Santiago Urdaspal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teofilo Cambranes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 36 played minutes C.A.I.U.C got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Giraldo. Jose Chuse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teofilo Cambranes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. When Cuervos & Santos's Jose Chuse in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A.I.U.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th match minute, C.A.I.U.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Giraldo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Jose Chuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuervos & Santos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Chuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Jose Chuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jose Chuse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Cambranes having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Chuse was the one to do the kick off. Teofilo Cambranes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Chuse in the 53rd minute. C.A.I.U.C's Teofilo Cambranes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.I.U.C from getting a goal against them. In the 56th match minute, C.A.I.U.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Eli to maneuver through the defense. Jose Chuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute Humberto Obano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stavros Vakros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Jose Chuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.A.I.U.C's Teofilo Cambranes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.I.U.C from getting a goal against them. Jose Chuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Teofilo Cambranes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Jose Chuse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuervos & Santos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.I.U.C the free kick. A collision led to Cuervos & Santos getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jose Chuse hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Cuervos & Santos's Felix Matteo shot a high long ball. C.A.I.U.C's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. Anacleto Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, C.A.I.U.C's Teofilo Cambranes got control of the ball when Jose Chuse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Oihenarte hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Stavros Vakros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jose Chuse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuervos & Santos's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Chuse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Cambranes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, C.A.I.U.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jose Chuse fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
