Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Challacó AFC's Tiburcio Rexino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Challacó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Tajo came free, but Bernardo Tibalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 4 minutes, Erasmo Aritza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pichincha FC and the Challacó AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Pichincha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Osmundo to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Rexino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niceto Frederico. Pichincha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiburcio Rexino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Freddy Valentine kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Pichincha FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Danilo Estavan hit a great ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Tiburcio Rexino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pichincha FC's Niceto Frederico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Niceto Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Rexino in the 15th minute of play. Bernardo Tibalt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Mendiko in the 16th minute. Freddy Valentine hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The Challacó AFC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Challacó AFC's Tiburcio Rexino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 28 minutes of play, Challacó AFC's Ramon Abar made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niceto Frederico was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dario Mendiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Tibalt having to interfere. Isaias Gabino hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Bernardo Tibalt made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Melchor Osmundo sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Ramon Abar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Frederico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Tajo was the one to do the kick off. Ramon Abar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Niceto Frederico firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Challacó AFC defense, Wilfredo Bermund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Tibalt. The Challacó AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Tibalt should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Challacó AFC's Ramon Abar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niceto Frederico. Niceto Frederico yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. In the 61st minute Miguel Tajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Tibalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Ramon Abar could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Niceto Frederico however easily saved by the left post. Bernardo Tibalt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Mendiko in the 86th minute of the match. Bernardo Tibalt came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Pichincha FC's Miguel Tajo. But to his dismay, Miguel Tajo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4.
