Paulo Chayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Diego Peter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Rik's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Carmelo Rik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ushuaia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Rik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Rik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Rik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Peter was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Domingos Sarracino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Peter was a little too slow when Rigoberto Pacifico got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-4. Diego Peter made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Carmelo Rik sent off a good shot on target. Chacarita FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Carmelo Rik scored to the left of an out of position Diego Peter, making the score, 1-5. Chacarita FC's Ulises Tancredo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Ulises Tancredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Carmelo Rik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ushuaia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Rik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita FC's zone, Carmelo Rik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Peter came out of the goal and Carmelo Rik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
