Romeo Jesco's late challenge caught a Los Tira Humo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Jesco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chacarita FC's Romeo Jesco got a free kick in the 10th minute. The Chacarita FC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Chacarita FC's Ulises Tancredo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Chacarita FC booed when Los Tira Humo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Gai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Arsenio Gai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Diego Peter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Chacarita FC booed when Los Tira Humo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Los Tira Humo defense, Ulises Tancredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Txanton. The Los Tira Humo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Txanton should have stopped the shot. Diego Peter was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Arsenio Gai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arsenio Gai really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Arsenio Gai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Diego Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arsenio Gai was the one to do the kick off. Eliseo Rioja kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Luciano Gaspard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Adrian Txanton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Luciano Gaspard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Txanton. Los Tira Humo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Gaspard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Domingos Sarracino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Bieito in the 66th minute of play forced Chacarita FC's goalkeeper Diego Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eloy Bieito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Maldonado charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Maldonado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulises Tancredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ulises Tancredo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Adrian Txanton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacarita FC. Eloy Bieito took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diego Peter. Diego Peter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Diego Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Domingos Sarracino hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Los Tira Humo's Eloy Bieito got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Arsenio Gai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Tira Humo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsenio Gai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano Gaspard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adrian Txanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Leonel Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chacarita FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcos Eleazar in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chacarita FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
