When Fred Bergendahl came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ushuaia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Bergendahl couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, La Cañada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Ganix to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Carmelo Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ushuaia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Paulo Chayo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isidro Illan. Edgard Iratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Rik in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Carmelo Rik made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Iratze. La Cañada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Edgard Iratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Rik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Iratze was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. If Prudencio Theodore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Elias Bitxintxo made the kick off in the second half. La Cañada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ushuaia FC the free kick. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Ushuaia FC's Carmelo Rik dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Carmelo Rik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard Iratze having to make a save. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, Ushuaia FC's Fred Bergendahl got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgard Iratze. Elias Bitxintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Chayo having to interfere. Paulo Chayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Dominic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Iratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Rik in the 88th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Ushuaia FC's Carmelo Rik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Iratze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgard Iratze made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Carmelo Rik sent off a good shot on target. Rigoberto Pacifico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Iratze having to interfere. Carmelo Riks short, quick shot in the 100thth minute got Edgard Iratze to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ushuaia FC played a much better game than La Cañada and deserved their victory. The La Cañada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
