Spectators: 6867 (Terracing: 5317, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) When Amadeo Goren fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villaguay AFC's protests and gave Amadeo Goren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Villaguay AFC's Amadeo Goren got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gabriel Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amador Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Galindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Nereo Basualdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atletico Tucuman's Aurelio Gilabert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Dei in the 16th minute of play. Aurelio Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Basualdo in the 18th minute of play. Aurelio Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Basualdo in the 21st minute of the match. After 29 played minutes, Club Atletico Tucuman's Melquiades Cordairo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amador Domingues came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atletico Tucuman reached it. Villaguay AFC's Amador Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Galindo in the 31st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Villaguay AFC's Aurelio Gilabert threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nereo Basualdo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Donato Ospin took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Aurelio Gilabert to make any attempt to save it. Francisco Pello hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Basualdo was the one to do the kick off. Nereo Basualdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Galindo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Amador Domingues when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amador Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Geleberto in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Villaguay AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Cipriano Dei hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Amadeo Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eloy Galindo during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Club Atletico Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Galindo. In the 68th minute of the match Zeledon Clis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Gilabert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Ospin in the 71st minute of play forced Club Atletico Tucuman's goalkeeper Aurelio Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Villaguay AFC's Amador Domingues got control of the ball when Gabriel Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Faustino Geleberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Amador Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eloy Galindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Domingues having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Eloy Galindo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Amador Domingues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabriel Lopes struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Amador Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Tucuman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Basualdo in the 87th minute of play forced Club Atletico Tucuman's goalkeeper Aurelio Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Gilabert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Ospin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Basualdo in the 91st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Tucuman's Faustino Geleberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amador Domingues. That made the score 1-3 after 95 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Atletico Tucuman eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
