In the 18th minute Ariel Hunfredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Vichigasta FC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Bernad. 1-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Saul Cordarin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Guillermo Ignado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vichigasta FC and the TGG players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Guillermo Ignado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vichigasta FC's zone, Saul Cordarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Cruz came out of the goal and Saul Cordarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Emenon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Francisco Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angel Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Cruz having to interfere. When TGG's Saul Cordarin in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vichigasta FC's goalie prevented a goal. TGG's Desiderio Iraido got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Cordarin in the 37th minute. Cristiano Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Haritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Jacobo Emenon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TGG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vichigasta FC the free kick. The supporters of Vichigasta FC booed when TGG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Emenon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vichigasta FC's Ariel Hunfredo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Cordarin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Francisco Cruz came out and tried to block the shot, but Saul Cordarin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51st match minute, TGG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Emenon to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Goyo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. TGG's Cristiano Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Tuste in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, TGG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Fe to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes TGG got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Iraido. Saul Cordarin struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Francisco Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TGG. The TGG fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when TGG's Saul Cordarin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Saul Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Vichigasta FC defense, Joel Orlandus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Cruz. The Vichigasta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Cruz should have stopped the shot. Epifanio Haritz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. TGG's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
