El rojo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Sedeni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as El rojo's Gabriel Batistuta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vladimiro Leguizamón. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Gabriel Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El rojo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ciro Elorri fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Chochamus F.C.'s protests and gave Ciro Elorri a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Los Chochamus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Elorri. Gabriel Batistuta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Orlanda's late challenge caught a El rojo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Orlanda helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Los Chochamus F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El rojo:s goal. Vladimiro Leguizamón had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Desiderio Ruy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilano Jerano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Batistuta struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Vladimiro Leguizamón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El rojo. After 60 minutes, Konstantin Havasi made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Los Chochamus F.C.'s Vladimiro Leguizamón tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vladimiro Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Sedeni in the 65th minute of play. Gabriel Batistuta kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Gaspar Orlanda hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Desiderio Ruy managed to get in a good position for a shot. El rojo's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Ruy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Leguizamón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualterio Sedeni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Los Chochamus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Ricart. Gabriel Batistuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vladimiro Leguizamón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gualterio Sedeni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Leguizamón came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by El rojo's Gabriel Batistuta. But to his dismay, Gabriel Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the referee ended the match the El rojo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
