Spectators: 7081 (Terracing: 5313, Seating: 1628, VIP seats: 140) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victor Txaran kicked off to start the match. Enrique Boni made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Prudencio Ceandro sent off a good shot on target. After 4 played minutes Bigano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Galoer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Lizar during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Enrique Boni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Ceandro in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Astor Belarmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute of the match Feliciano Savier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Boni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bigano AFC's Mario Ondino got a free kick in the 18th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Prudencio Ceandro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Enrique Boni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mario Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergio Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Ondino in the 40th minute of the match. Prudencio Ceandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Enrique Boni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Ondino was the one to do the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Marcelo Isaio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sergio Felipillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 61 played minutes Bigano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Katia. After a defensive mix-up in Newells Old Boys's zone, Mario Ondino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Felipillo came out of the goal and Mario Ondino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Rodolfo Erruki got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Newells Old Boys's zone, Mario Ondino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Felipillo came out of the goal and Mario Ondino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Prudencio Ceandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Boni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Evelio Galoer came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Bigano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Galoer couldn't finish the play. Bigano AFC's Carlos Noe was substituted for Placido Onbera.
