When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacek Gendolla made a kick off. If Epifanio Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Jacek Gendolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Tano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rumiyaco's zone, Raul Vitin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Atarratze came out of the goal and Raul Vitin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Epifanio Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Atarratze having to interfere. Eustaquio Atarratze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raul Vitin in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Constantino Osasun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rumiyaco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. If Epifanio Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gonzalo Tano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Osasun in the 90th minute of the match. Raul Vitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Eustaquio Atarratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Vitin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustaquio Atarratze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Jaula de pajaros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jaula de pajaros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
