Spectators: 7160 (Terracing: 5371, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 142) Cristobal Bermudez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Isaias Larra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Bermudez in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Lixandro saved Tachas from getting behind. 6 minutes into the match, Tachas's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Larra came free, but Alejo Lixandro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Club Atl. River Plate's goalkeeper Eustacio Urtsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Salomon. 16 minutes into the match, Club Atl. River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Phelipe came free, but Eustacio Urtsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Justino Phelipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Urtsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Cordeal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Alejo Lixandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejo Lixandro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Larra, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Tachas defense, Cristobal Bermudez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Lixandro. The Tachas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Lixandro should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tachas's goalkeeper Alejo Lixandro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alejo Lixandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Avellaneda in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Tachas's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Cordeal came free, but Alejo Lixandro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Emiliano Cordeal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Lixandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Lixandro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Larra went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The Tachas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atl. River Plate were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Justino Phelipe made the kick off in the second half. Cristobal Bermudez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alejo Lixandro came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristobal Bermudez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 52nd minute. Cristobal Bermudez took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Lixandro. Alejo Lixandro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 66 minutes into the match, Emiliano Cordeal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejo Lixandro. Tachas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emiliano Cordeal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Ernesto Monico who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Alejo Lixandro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eustacio Urtsin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Emiliano Cordeal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alejo Lixandro. That made the score 0-7 in the 76 minute of play. Emiliano Cordeal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Alejo Lixandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Emiliano Cordeal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alejo Lixandro. That made the score 0-8 in the 82 minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Ernesto Monico got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alejo Lixandro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emiliano Cordeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Lixandro having to interfere. Club Atl. River Plate's Rodrigo Hondo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alejo Lixandro but with some difficulty. If Ernesto Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Monico who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Alejo Lixandro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match was over Club Atl. River Plate could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tachas throughout the match.
