Spectators: 6638 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Miro started the match with the kick off. When Christian Pagomari came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Gaviotas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Pagomari couldn't finish the play. When Marcial Frasquito came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Calistia del Norte fans jumped to their feet. Lino Ciceron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Baldomiro Fagildo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Sal in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dionisio Rosario saved Gaviotas from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Martino during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dionisio Rosario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Calistia del Norte's Ramiro Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Pagomari in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Christian Pagomari's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro Arias was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Ramiro Arias was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Christian Pagomari capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Pagomari really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Christian Pagomari struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ramiro Arias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaviotas. Ramiro Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Calistia del Norte got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Sal. Ramiro Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Pagomari in the 58th minute of the match. Ramiro Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Pagomari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Pagomari might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramiro Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Pagomari ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramiro Arias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Ciceron went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Pagomari in the 71st minute of play forced Calistia del Norte's goalkeeper Ramiro Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Santiago Sal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaviotas's Christian Pagomari got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Gaviotas's Lino Ciceron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Christian Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lino Ciceron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th match minute, Calistia del Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Sal to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Pagomari in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Arias saved Calistia del Norte from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gaviotas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calistia del Norte had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
