Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Maipú's David Paskal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cecilio Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Manuel Kepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmar Stanislao got free with Jeronimo Rodriguez in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, villa del plata's Amado Cordeal got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 13 played minutes, Maipú's Filiberto Illart shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jeronimo Rodriguez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maipú reached it. villa del plata's Jeronimo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Paskal in the 14th minute of play. Amado Cordeal kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Maipú's goal looked a bit too open when Santxo Feria came free, but Manuel Kepa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. villa del plata's Jeronimo Rodriguez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save villa del plata from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, Santxo Feria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The villa del plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. García Aizpurua scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Kepa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manuel Kepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from García Aizpurua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Kepa came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by villa del plata's García Aizpurua. But to his dismay, García Aizpurua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. villa del plata's Jeronimo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Paskal in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when García Aizpurua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Maipú's Christian Iratzeder got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Paskal in the 59th minute of play forced villa del plata's goalkeeper Jeronimo Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Stanislao in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeronimo Rodriguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Maipú's Delmar Stanislao in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye villa del plata's goalie prevented a goal. Jeronimo Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Paskal in the 65th minute of the match. Fernando Kismi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fernando Kismi managed to get in a good position for a shot. villa del plata's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Kismi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Kepa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeronimo Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Paskal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Gaitano in the 76th minute of play forced villa del plata's goalkeeper Jeronimo Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. García Aizpurua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Ignacio Pitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. villa del plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maipú the free kick. After a rather tough play, villa del plata's Ignacio Pitin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, villa del plata's Lázaro Donzel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lázaro Donzel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of villa del plata protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lázaro Donzel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of villa del plata:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Maipú:s goal. The referee gave Maipú a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Igor Fonso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of villa del plata's Jeronimo Rodriguez. 1-3. Jeronimo Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Erroman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the game, David Paskal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Jeronimo Rodriguez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. villa del plata played a much better game than Maipú and deserved their victory. The Maipú players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
