Cirilo Joseph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Bernard in the 7th minute of the match. When Lion FC's Delmar Donio in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Errecaborda's goalie prevented a goal. Serafin Bernard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the game, Adolfo Tonio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonatan Kusko. Adolfo Tonio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The supporters of Lion FC booed when Errecaborda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Tonio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Serafin Bernard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Errecaborda defense, Serafin Bernard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Joseph. The Errecaborda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Joseph should have stopped the shot. Victorino Pedroso charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victorino Pedroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Lion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. If Delmar Donio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rafael Gartzi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Errecaborda's Cirilo Joseph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Bernard in the 45th minute of play. If Serafin Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Tonio to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Lion FC's Delmar Donio made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cirilo Joseph was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Lion FC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Lion FC's Serafin Bernard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lion FC's Delmar Donio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Errecaborda defense, Delmar Donio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Joseph. The Errecaborda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Joseph should have stopped the shot. Serafin Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cirilo Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Errecaborda's zone, German Urbes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Joseph came out of the goal and German Urbes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. German Urbes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Cirilo Joseph when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Prospero Bautista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Errecaborda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5.
