Spectators: 7055 (Terracing: 5293, Seating: 1622, VIP seats: 140) In the 3rd minute Jacinto Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Jacinto Santikurtz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elertondo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LA BANDA DEL VINO the free kick. After a rather tough play, Elertondo's Jacinto Santikurtz got a free kick in the 5th minute. Gavino Bermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Txindoki in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute Jacinto Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elertondo's Edgard Goren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Evis in the 20th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Elertondo's goal looked a bit too open when Xose Cabrera came free, but Edgard Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Xose Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA BANDA DEL VINO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xose Cabrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laureano Evis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Edgard Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Laureano Evis made the kick off in the second half. Xose Cabrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LA BANDA DEL VINO's Leon Licerio got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 61st minute of the match Jacinto Santikurtz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jacinto Santikurtz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 62nd minute, Jacinto Santikurtz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Xose Cabrera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fulgencio Txindoki struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Gavino Bermudo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elertondo. If Fulgencio Txindoki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fulgencio Txindoki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Bermudo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Txindoki in the 73rd minute. The Elertondo fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Elertondo's Fulgencio Txindoki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 87th minute, Fulgencio Txindoki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elertondo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Conrado Maurin scored 0-5 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Bermudo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulgencio Txindoki got free with Gavino Bermudo in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Elertondo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elertondo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
