An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Mandrak in the 21st minute of play forced Medina's goalkeeper Domingo Firme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Pedroso hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Heineken getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marcelino Grabiel hit a great ball. When João Francisco Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Heineken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco Mandrak couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Heineken defense, Marcelo Hever kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Endura. The Heineken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Endura should have stopped the shot. Domingo Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Acevedo in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Heineken's goalkeeper Eloy Endura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cedric Dozier. In the 38th minute, Cedric Dozier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Honorato Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Francisco Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eloy Endura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felice Mei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Cedric Dozier notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Heineken's Eloy Endura. Eloy Endura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernesto Playo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Braulio Jaunti charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braulio Jaunti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Medina players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
