With a little luck, Senillosa AFC's Igor Martino got control of the ball when Florencio Javiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximiliano Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Lidon having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florencio Javiar got free with Igor Martino in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Senillosa AFC's Igor Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Iratzeder in the 42nd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Senillosa AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovidio Iratzeder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Ovidio Iratzeder came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the kempes f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Iratzeder couldn't finish the play.
