But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Perfecto couldn't finish the play. Scofield FC's Jaime Etxekopar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Scofield FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Perfecto in the 23rd minute of play forced Boedo's goalkeeper Eustacio Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godofredo Montxo's late challenge caught a Scofield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godofredo Montxo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Boedo's Godofredo Montxo got a free kick in the 25th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godofredo Montxo made a kick off. In the 56th minute Cesar Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Salvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cesar Perfecto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Etxekopar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Romildo went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Cesar Perfecto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Salvino was relentless in the 67th minute of the game.
