Fausto Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Ruy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Cepeda FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Arixo. Miguel Ruy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rigoberto Ugaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Miguel Ruy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Cepeda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Ugaitz came free, but Miguel Ruy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Club Sportivo Bahiense got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Ugaitz. Americo Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Santos having to interfere. Arnulfo Venceslas made a great header on Cepeda FC's corner, it was just that Club Sportivo Bahiense's Hilario Santos managed to reach the ball for a save. Bernabe Arixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Hilario Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cepeda FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Eulalio Bembe hit a great ball. 49 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Bahiense's Godfredo Ascencio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernabe Arixo made a kick off. A collision led to Club Sportivo Bahiense getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Benicio Vidal hit a great ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Rigoberto Ugaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Sportivo Bahiense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Ugaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Club Sportivo Bahiense's Miguel Ruy threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rigoberto Ugaitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74th match minute, Club Sportivo Bahiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Terciero to maneuver through the defense. Hector Jesco kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Miguel Ruy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Fernandes in the 80th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Cepeda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Ugaitz came free, but Miguel Ruy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Rigoberto Ugaitz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Ruy, passed just outside the right post. Rigoberto Ugaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fausto Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cepeda FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
