Gonzalo Paio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the match, Lehmann's goalkeeper Marcelino Manny had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Costante. Virgilio Henrico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonzalo Paio having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Weather in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Paio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th match minute, L.B.Z was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Costante to maneuver through the defense. If Virgilio Henrico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Abad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Paio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Virgilio Henrico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzalo Paio was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. L.B.Z were furious when Jeremias Piearres was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Weather made a kick off. Lehmann's Virgilio Henrico got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lehmann's Evelio Quintyn got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Geronimo Matro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelino Manny showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of L.B.Z booed when Lehmann was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, L.B.Z's Gonzalo Paio got control of the ball when Virgilio Henrico tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rafael Weather's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzalo Paio was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Rafael Weather received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gonzalo Paio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. Lehmann's Virgilio Henrico got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Paio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Weather, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Henrico got free with Gonzalo Paio in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
