After 53 minutes, Domingo Martxot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.J.NEWBERY and the METALEROS DE CORDOBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A.J.NEWBERY's Domingo Martxot got a free kick in the 53rd minute. It was beautiful to see METALEROS DE CORDOBA's Marciano Jusepe in action when he in the 55th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Bernardo Ixona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rafael Montrelle scored 1-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elvio Rivero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, METALEROS DE CORDOBA's Ciro Aztore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amador Guzman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amador Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Ixona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Aztore in the 83rd minute of play forced C.A.J.NEWBERY's goalkeeper Amador Guzman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Ixona might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amador Guzman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Ixona ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Bernardo Ixona put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amador Guzman. If Rafael Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amador Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Ixona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The METALEROS DE CORDOBA fans cheered their team off the field, for while C.A.J.NEWBERY had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
