The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Gavino Brun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarmiento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Havana AFC the free kick. When Ignacio Abar fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Havana AFC's protests and gave Ignacio Abar a yellow card for diving instead. Ignacio Abar kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Roberto Vigil struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Rodrigo Alonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Lesardo in the 15th minute of play forced Sarmiento's goalkeeper Iker Tebaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Maule hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Abar came free, but Iker Tebaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Prospero Quin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Havana AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angelo Bazil was slow to take the kick. During this time Sarmiento's players had a chance to rest. Angelo Bazil made a great header on Sarmiento's corner, it was just that Havana AFC's Rodrigo Alonso managed to reach the ball for a save. Rodrigo Alonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sarmiento getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Zeledon Menendo hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Dario Lesardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Havana AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dario Lesardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Tebaldo having to interfere. If Zeledon Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Menendo in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Zeledon Menendo made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Alonso. Havana AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Ferran in the 88th minute of play forced Havana AFC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
