In the 4thth minute of the game Narciso Perutxo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Ideal's Atilano Colas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Placido Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in AC Ideal's zone, Placido Lano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Colas came out of the goal and Placido Lano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Narciso Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Bernabe Baumer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Ideal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corrientes FC the free kick. After 18 played minutes AC Ideal got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Baumer. Narciso Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Colas having to interfere. If Placido Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Fermin Errolan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Fermin Errolan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Fidencio. Corrientes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Errolan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, AC Ideal's Cirilo Cordarryl got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Leonel Paez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atilano Colas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Placido Lano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Colas having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Lucas Henric managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Ideal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Henric was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Placido Lano to strike the kick off in the second half. Cirilo Cordarryl, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Corrientes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Henric came free, but Arnaldo Fidencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Narciso Perutxo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Atilano Colas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Narciso Perutxo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atilano Colas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 80th minute Lucas Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Fidencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, AC Ideal's Fermin Errolan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Fidencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After some careless play in the Corrientes FC defense, Fermin Errolan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaldo Fidencio. The Corrientes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Fidencio should have stopped the shot. Narciso Perutxo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-4 to the left of a surprised Atilano Colas 95 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Corrientes FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
