The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, METEGOL's Freddy Orlo got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 11 minutes, Jimeno Mitxel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pedernales and the METEGOL players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of METEGOL booed when Pedernales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Mitxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ladislao Joachim fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedernales's protests and gave Ladislao Joachim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, one of METEGOL:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for METEGOL. The referee gave Pedernales a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anastasio Tajo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of METEGOL's Raul Savion. 0-1. Raul Savion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute of the game, Jimeno Mitxel landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Ezequiel Silvanito kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Denis Cefero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alejo Lorien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Efrain Maura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The METEGOL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pedernales were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejo Lorien stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Pedernales's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Guerau came free, but Efrain Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Denis Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for METEGOL! The goalkeeper, Raul Savion, was totally fooled by Pedernales's Anastasio Tajo, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Denis Cefero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Savion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejo Lorien in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efrain Maura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Efrain Maura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Lorien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Aaron Silvanito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute of the match Federico Pes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Efrain Maura skillfully saved the ball. Alejo Lorien might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efrain Maura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejo Lorien ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Guerau in the 84th minute of play forced Pedernales's goalkeeper Efrain Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Guerau struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Efrain Maura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for METEGOL. METEGOL's Raul Savion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save METEGOL from getting a goal against them.
